PRIVACY POLICY

Coaching for Impact (CFI) is committed to providing quality services to its clients.  This policy outlines our obligations to clients and how we manage personal information. 

CFI has adopted the Australian Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act). The Australian Privacy Principles govern the way in which we collect, use, disclose, store, secure and dispose of your personal information.

What is personal information and why do we collect it? 

Personal information is information or an opinion that identifies an individual, whether they be engaged with us directly or via an organisation.  An example of the personal information we may collect, includes name, date of birth, emergency contact, address, email address and telephone numbers.  As we collect personal information, we will endeavour to explain to you why we are collecting the information and how we plan to use it.

This personal information can be obtained in a number of ways such as via intake forms, correspondence, interviews and via telephone, email or through our website 


www.coachingforimpact.com.au.  This information can also be obtained from third party sources or publicly available sources. Please note that we do not guarantee website links or policy of authorised third parties. 

CFI collects your personal information for the sole purpose of providing services to you or if required, providing profile information to third party providers.  If we provide your information to third party providers, we would reasonably expect such use or disclosure. 

Sensitive Information Sensitive information will only be used by CFI and is defined in the Privacy Act to include information or opinion about such things as an individual's racial or ethnic origin, gender identity, political opinions, membership of a political association, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership of a trade union or other professional body, criminal record or health information. This information would only ever be provided with your consent - should it be required or authorised by law.

If you would like to unsubscribe from our mailing list, you may do so at any time by contacting us in writing. 


The Storage and Security of Personal Information

Your personal information is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. 

Once your personal information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently deidentify your personal information. Please note that most of the personal information is (or will) be stored in client files which will be kept by CFI for a minimum of seven (7) years. 

 

Access to your Personal Information

At any time, you may access the personal information we hold about you and to update and/or correct it, subject to certain exceptions. 

If you would like to access your personal information, please contact CFI in writing.

Whilst CFI will not charge you a fee for your access request, we may charge an administrative fee for providing a copy of your personal information.  So as to protect your personal information, we may require identification from you before releasing the requested information.
